Resumen

Women have played an important role in the economy since the beginning of mankind. Despite their significant impact, there remains a notable scarcity of comprehensive studies dedicated to assessing and quantifying the economic input of women over time. Hence, this study seeks to address this disparity by focusing on the economic participation trends of women in Mexico during the period from 2005 to 2023. By meticulously analyzing data collected by the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI) and employing the robust Kimball methodology, we endeavor to shed light on the multifaceted dimensions of women's economic engagement. Thus, through the use of advanced Business Intelligence tools, we examine various labor tendencies prevalent among women in Mexico. Our comprehensive approach allows us to discern intricate trends such as the disparity in income from formal and informal employment. On the other hand, our research extends beyond mere income differentials, encompassing a holistic exploration of factors impacting diverse economic sectors, differences among states in Mexico and the value of contracts and the access to health.
